A nonprofit board plays a key role in fundraising.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that the board members are directly asking for donations. A highly-effective fundraising board can be focused on outreach, storytelling, and connecting – activities that can bolster and accelerate fundraising strategy.
To get there, the board needs to act as caretakers and stewards of the mission – and they need to personally support the organization.
To illustrate this point, here’s a quick clip from the Transformative Fundraising webinar series where I talk about the duty of the board to support the organization – the analogy of the cook and the restaurant.
