Engaging breakfast meeting this morning with the Passkeys Foundation, talking about ways to grow corporate involvement with nonprofit organizations.
Always a treat to see so many of my friends and colleagues – it even made the white-knuckle terror of “driving on the 5 in the rain” worthwhile. ☔ 🚗 😱
We had a great talk at my table about ways to engage more corporate volunteers and donors. A lot of ideas came up during the conversation – here are some of the key takeaways:
💚 Share the stories of your corporate partners – photos, videos, and testimonials are fantastic ways to recognize and celebrate your corporate volunteers.
💚 Get creative and find ways to connect with the talent and skills of corporate teams.
💚Don’t underestimate the power of a little friendly competition – between departments, between organizations, between teams.
🛑 Also, remember that your turn signal is not a lane-clearing device. You’re indicating intention, not teleporting other cars out of your way. (This topic is more related to the drive on the 5, but maybe you can make a nonprofit lesson about it).
How have you built creative partnerships with your corporate supporters? Let me know in the comments!
And if you want to talk about your corporate fundraising strategy, let's talk!
